Frequently Asked Questions

About The Mural Painting Process

What types of paint do you use?

We like to use a low sheen Acrylic paint for covering uneven surfaces like brick, concrete, stucco or textured timber. A low sheen finish smooths out the imperfections in the surface.

What are the costs involved in commissioning a mural for my building?

Our pricing is based on complexity, color, size, and working conditions. Our pricing model is inclusive of design time, client correspondence, meetings, installations, and supplies and equipment.

Are we insured?

Absolutely. We carry Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) coverage as required.

Will murals protect walls from vandalism?

Research suggests that well thought out designs, appropriate for the culture of the area discourage graffiti. But there are still those will vandalize. A great way to mitigate this is to have the artist available to make touch-ups.

Can you assist with event planning and promotions?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. Autem dolore, alias, numquam enim ab voluptate id quam harum ducimus cupiditate similique quisquam et deserunt, recusandae.

What permits are needed to paint a mural on a commercial property?

A building permit is not required if the scope of the project is wholly cosmetic.

How do you ensure the mural's longevity

The main enemies of a mural are sunlight and moisture. North and East facing walls will last longer than West and South facing. Murals should not be painted on retaining walls that have earth behind them. Avoid areas where there are sprinklers or standing water. We paint with 2 coats of acrylic gesso or water based primer

How will the mural impact the overall value and perception of my property?

A well-executed mural can significantly enhance the aesthetic and curb appeal of a building, potentially increasing its market value and public image. It can attract more visitors, tenants and community engagement. Murals often become landmarks, adding cultural and artistic value to the neighborhood, which can be a strong selling point.
